F

I'm quickly running out of rain metaphors and similes, but it's like someone has left a faucet on above Northern California.

It rained throughout most of the weekend, and throughout most of my hike down to Kirby Cove.

The rain does make everything glow a bright green color though. It's almost surreal to take it all in, and all the more strange to think that it will all be a burnt brown come summer.

On Monday the sun came out for a while. I didn't really no what to do other than sit by the window and read. I passed out cold for about twenty minutes, my body overwhelmed by the unfamiliar warmth of sunlight. Things wrong with this scenario = zero.

Today I went to Target.  I have had better ideas. This is what I think of that particular discount superstore.

The worst of it was mostly my renewed distaste for Rachel Ray. Last year her smiling face started popping up on boxes of wheat thins, so I stopped buying wheat thins in protest. Next it was triscuits, and a myriad of other items that I enjoyed at one point or another. Basically girl owns Target at this point. I couldn't look in any direction without seeing her cheshire melon cake-baking face. Damn.

Tomorrow I'm packing up and heading to the cabin. I'll see you when I'm relaxed and well-adjusted.
