Salad Days at The Grand Ole Opry

I spent the better part of my day indoors, soaking up the sun through the stained glass at the Ryman Auditorium, the original home of the Grand Ole Opry and the 'spiritual' home of country music. As contrived as all of that sounds, it really is a pretty incredible room, and having just seen Neil Young's Heart of Gold, I was looking actually looking forward to an honest day's work. Here's a video of Johnny Cash doing a show at the Ryman.

I did manage to nip out for a while and shop for some boots, but soon realized that I was born in New Jersey and, therefore, have no business owning cowboy boots. Oh, and I also looked ri-goddamn-diculous in them as well.

I take the sausage on wheels to be a good omen.

Man did I give that little cardboard fucker a piece of my mind...
