You are most certainly not welcome here
The Gap that not long ago opened shop on the corner of Haight and Ashbury is closing it's doors. Most would agree that it is due to the neighborhood's tepid reception of the upscale retail chain store. I would say it has a thing or two to do with the fact that not a day has gone by where its employees haven't arrived to find at least one window smashed and/or covered in paint. It was a bad idea from its inception to put a store like The Gap at the historic intersection of 60's counterculture, but I think they have taken the hint.
