Recidivist Dinner Party
We had some pals over for a small, unofficial house warming the other night. While it was small and unofficial it involved seven pounds of salmon and a whole lot of stinky cheese. I wanted to steal Kevin's shirt. I mean, who wouldn't?
I have been reading Zak Sally's book Recidivist which is really pretty amazing. Zak is/was the bass player from Low, and his artwork is really incredible.
Last night I went to another Noir night at the Castro. It was good. I sat on the balcony, had a cocktail, watched the moive and then walked home through Buena Vista.
The view at night is really amazing, although it is like scaling a damn mountain. It wears a brother out.
I am very much looking forward to seeing friends in both Montreal and New York over the next few weeks. I have a hardcore show pre-arranged for me the night I arrive in Quebec and I am going to enjoy the hell out of both Lavagna and Blue Ribbon Sushi in NY. Those are maybe my two favorite restaurants that ever were. I plan to return home a rather robust man.
